The aim of the agreement is to realize a platform for an integrated, international academic program in urban studies. The Institute for European Urban Studies (IfEU) at the Bauhaus University Weimar together with the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Tongji University Shanghai working together on this project. IIUS is a “global” development of the interdisciplinary concept of the postgraduate master program in “European Urban Studies”.

Conversely, students at the Tongji University Shanghai will have the chance to participate in Europe in academic projects designed to be interdisciplinary and to get to know an up-to coming German University.

This agreement describes the academic and administrative conditions concerning the realization of the Dual Master Program in Urban Design. The program supports the exchange of students between College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP), Tongji University and Technical University Berlin (Faculty VI). The aim is to enable students to receive Master degrees of both universities. This program has started in fall 2006.

This agreement is aimed at specifying the terms for the Master student exchange within the “Chinese-Italian Joint Campus” agreement. This agreement integrates the double degree agreement signed by the institutions mentioned above.
