Urban Planning Forum (UPF, bimonthly), was launched in 1957, and is one of the earliest academic periodicals in China’s urban planning profession. After resuming publication in 1978, UPF now has published 169 issues at the point of publication. The editorial department, led by its Editing Committee, has a stable editing team with extensive editing experience, good academic knowledge and incisive ideas. Professor DONG Jianhong has been the Chief Editor since the journal’s establishment. Professor WU Zhiqiang is the current Director of the Editing Committee.
UPF is creative, progressive, and research-based. It primarily publishes the latest research in urban planning development in China. UPF keeps pace with contemporary development, national economic growth, and social changes, while facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration. UPF is one of the most influential and authoritative periodicals of urban planning in China. UPF is a Chinese Core Journal of architecture, one of the Chinese Sci-tech Core Periodicals, one of the Core Journals of Chinese Humanities, as well as a source journal for Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index, Chinese Science Citation Database, and China Academic Journals. It has been awarded an International Standard Serial Number by American International CODEN Center.
UPF makes great efforts to initiate academic communication in urban planning and organizes the most influential domestic forum, China Urban Planning Forum, each year. It also has been awarded the JIN Jingchang Award for Excellent Papers in Urban Planning, which represents the highest achievement in urban planning research in China. |
